£900 million North East Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Works Framework Awarded
The North East Procurement Organisation has entered into a four year framework agreement with twenty three successful contractors which signals their intent to move to a new more collaborative approach to civil engineering & infrastructure works across the North East region. The agreement, which was led on behalf of NEPO by Sunderland City Council, covers fifteen specialist lots ranging from general infrastructure to marine, coastal, public realm and drainage works.

£96 million North East Highway Surfacing Framework Awarded
The North East Procurement Organisation in partnership with the North East Highways Alliance has entered into a four year framework agreement with thirteen successful contractors which signals a new more collaborative approach to highways construction. The collaborative agreement which was led on behalf of NEPO by Darlington Borough Council covers sixteen specialist lots ranging from standard carriageway resurfacing to road markings.

New Insurance Services agreement expected to save £10 million
Following on from the success of the first Insurance Services agreement (RM958), NEPO has worked in partnership with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS),YPO and ESPO to develop a new, improved and customer focused Insurance Services agreement for the public sector.
The new easy to use and compliant agreement is expected to save the public sector in the region of £10 million over its lifetime and features new areas of insurance cover, such as suretyship and claims handling.
